China Seizes the High Ground in the New Century's Automotive Industry Competition Chen Junting
Since international competition in the automotive industry has become more and more fierce, China has taken the high ground in the 21st century in developing the electric vehicle (EV) industry, ranking first in new EV sales and EV stock from 2016 onwards. Based on technological capability and industrialization scale, China has had excellent performance in EV exports in recent years. In 2021, China’s EV export volume has grown significantly by 150%, accounting for one-third of the global volume. Local enterprises successfully export their electric vehicles to developed countries, with European countries and the United States taking up more than 50% of China’s overseas market. It is groundbreaking in the history of Chinese automotive history.

The "China Moment" in the Modern World System: The Return and Reorientation of History Yan Peng
Globalization is in crisis today, and the theory of the end of history, born in the heyday of globalization from 1988 to 2008, has encountered a return to history. In the long run, the modern world system that drove globalization originated in early modern Europe, and after the hegemonic transfer of the Netherlands-Britain-United States, it swallowed up other systems and reorganized the global economy. American hegemony has exposed more and more problems after the end of the heyday of globalization, and the modern world system has ushered in the “China moment” of the rising power of non-Western powers. However, the many peculiarities of China's development have broken the logic of hegemonic transfer in the past, making the modern world system face an uncertain future.

The “American Disease” of Marriage and Family: Individualism, Racial Inequality, and Contemporary Crisis Wang Liqiong
In the 1960s and 1970s, American marriage and family began to become increasingly unstable. Up to now, the marriage and family crisis in the United States has not only not weakened but also become more complicated and intractable due to the intervention of race and class factors, and the U.S. government has not yet come up with an effective response to the crisis. The main reason for this is that America lacks a national consensus to revive marriage and the family, and the U.S. government has not addressed the two important problems of individualism in its culture and law and the deep structural inequality in its society.

Breaking the Misconception of "Insider Control" in State-Owned Enterprises: Insights from SOE Reforms in the Luoyang Area Li Junran
This study investigates the process of state-owned enterprises (SOE) reform in Luoyang and explains why it is necessary to focus on “insider control” in SOE reform. The paper argues that “insider control” includes both agency problems and capability issues. Successful cases have developed management capabilities, which means these enterprises are led by key managers who have been working for a long in the firm and are selected from inside. These enterprises have strengthened personnel management and financial supervision. In the meanwhile, they have developed practical strategies based on firm-specific situations, mobilized their members to learn from advanced experiences, and promoted knowledge accumulation and capability construction.

Football in Ghana: Survival, Glory, and Competition Zhang Chong
During mix months of fieldwork in Ghana, I am shocked and amazed by how people there are passionate about football. Every Ghanaian, no matter whether young or old, rich or poor, is participating in this beautiful game everywhere. Football is not just a game. For Ghanaian, becoming a football player is a career choice that is even more attractive. The rivalry within the football stadium is also a continuation of historical ethnic and political rivalries, which implies glory inside every group.
