Today’s world system is in an era of rupture and upheaval. The outbreak of the Ukraine crisis in 2022 has plunged the Western-dominated international order into significant disorder. Meanwhile, the discourse power of Global South countries on the international stage is continuously rising. Many Asian, African, and Latin American nations and regions are expanding their room for action and influence in the global arena, with their motivation and willingness to cooperate with one another also strengthening. This trend suggests that the evolving world system may be moving toward a new turn for the "Global South." In the face of this newly emerging force, China's intellectual community remains largely constrained by the outdated cognitive frameworks of developed countries, overlooking the autonomy and new characteristics exhibited by the Global South.
